Grit in the water is hard on a bidet seat. It clogs the small strainer at the seat’s water inlet and can wear the parts inside. This inline sediment filter traps it first, so the seat keeps its pressure and lasts longer. It is made by Hygiene for Health (H4H), the same company that supplies us the Infinity Eaze-Z3.
What it does
- Traps sand, dirt, rust and other particles in the incoming water
- Keeps grit out of your seat’s inlet strainer and internal parts
- Installs inline on your bidet seat’s water supply
- Standard 1/2 in male and female fittings
- Replace every 4 to 6 months
Which filter do I need?
- Sediment filter (this one): your water has sand, grit or rust in it. Common on well water, cottage and rural systems, and older pipes.
- Ion filter: your water is hard and leaves white scale on taps and shower heads. See the ion filter.
- Not sure? Tell us where your water comes from and we will help you pick.
Questions
Do I need a filter?
Not always. A filter is cheap protection if your water carries sediment or is hard. On the Infinity Eaze-Z3, for example, Infinity’s manual lists a clogged inlet strainer as a cause of low pressure or no spray, and a filter means that strainer clogs less often.
Will it fit my bidet seat?
It has standard 1/2 in male and female fittings and suits most bidet seats that take an inline filter. It is not compatible with TOTO bidet seats, and it does not work with bidet toilets that have the bidet built in. Send us your seat model and we will confirm before you order.
How often do I replace it?
Every 4 to 6 months. If your water pressure drops before then, the filter is probably full and should be changed sooner.
